LPN - Weekend Program Nurse in Skilled Nursing

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled LPN to join our weekend program at Sardis Oaks in Charlotte. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive work environment.
Job SummaryThis rewarding role involves performing nursing care and assisting with planning and implementing care for patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, performing all related job responsibilities in a safe manner, and maintaining clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served.
Responsibilities:- Participate in patient assessments by determining nursing care needs based on collection and interpretation of relevant data.
- Recognize and determine need for immediate intervention.
- Demonstrate knowledge that enables documentation of patient observations, treatments, patient response to treatment, and nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
- Assist with development/revision of the plan of care by providing data and identifying potential goals and intervention for review by the RN.
- Communicate with the appropriate clinical staff on the status of a patient if a significant change has occurred.
- Implement the identified plan under the supervision of the RN, ensuring tasks have been completed.
This role requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling. You must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Understanding and speaking fluent English is required. You must have intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, finger dexterity, critical thinking, and ability to concentrate. The ability to respond quickly to changes in the patient and unit conditions is essential.
Education, Experience, and CertificationsWe require graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. BLS certification is also necessary. Current LPN licensure or temporary license as a licensed practical nurse petitioner is mandatory.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Atrium Health offers robust benefits packages, paid time off, and educational assistance to its employees.
