Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage (F&B) division encompasses a wide array of dining establishments dedicated to delivering outstanding culinary experiences in a mountain setting. The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and supporting the Food & Beverage General Manager in training and supervising staff. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management reports related to revenue, tips, scheduling, inventory, and payroll.
  • Thoroughly understand and implement all operational policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Ensure all guests receive warm, responsive, and courteous service at all times, stepping in as needed to maintain service standards.
  • Achieve organizational goals in sales, service quality, and cleanliness through effective employee training and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Organize and complete all necessary paperwork, including reports and schedules, in a timely manner.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality through regular inspections and adherence to maintenance protocols.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks to ensure efficient food production.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute menus and train staff on recipes.
  • Schedule staff according to business needs and labor cost objectives.
  • Manage inventory control for kitchen supplies.
  • Conduct self-audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 40 lbs.
  • ServSafe Certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • TIPS certification and a Food Handler's Card required within 14 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
