Job Summary
H&E Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will travel to customer job sites to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including aerial and earthmoving equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three (3) to seven (7) years of relevant experience is necessary.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant driving experience is required.
- Hard down/major repair skills are a necessity.
- Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.
- A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
