Deli Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Deli Manager at Restaurant Depot, you will be responsible for ensuring the deli department runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes receiving and stocking products, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Functions
- Receiving and stocking products in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department and surrounding areas
- Providing excellent customer service and developing relationships with large customers
- Supervising and working together with the Deli Supervisor and Stocker/s to ensure shelves are stocked and merchandise is rotated
- Assisting in developing schedules, monitoring performance, and recommending discipline as necessary
- Training employees in job responsibilities and safe operating procedures, and interviewing candidates and recommending hires
- Ensuring employees are performing proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations and conducting periodic HACCP audits
- Reviewing inventory for product rotation on a daily basis to prevent shrinkage and damages
- Ensuring shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing and market conditions
- Supervising and working alongside the Stocker/s in the receiving of all deli products and ensuring proper paperwork is completed
- Maintaining accurate computer inventory levels by having physical inventories performed on a regular basis and adjustments made
- Maintaining refrigerated equipment and ensuring maintenance contracts and schedules are followed
- Supervising the ordering of deli products from vendors on a regular basis to ensure competitive pricing and minimal shrink due to spoilage
- Making sure all employees in the department can work the equipment such as the Toledo scale and Dennison label machine
- Coordinating that pallets stored in the racks have the proper block and date tags
- FOLLOWING A PROGRAM TO MAINTAIN THE CLEANLINESS OF THE AREA BY A REGULAR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE OF SCRUBBING, AND PULLING OUT PALLETS AND CLEANING UNDERNEATH
Requirements
- Must pass a drug screen
- Can lift 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18+ years old
