Job Summary

The Agape Center for Care is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teacher Assistant. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our children. Your primary responsibility will be to support our teachers in implementing a high-quality educational program that promotes the overall care and development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of curricula activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children.
  • Actively engage with children in activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and assessments.
  • Model good hygiene and self-help skills to promote healthy habits in our children.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from home to childcare center, making our children feel welcome and secure.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our children.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of our childcare services.
Requirements
  • Minimum 16 years of age.
  • High energy and a passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • An understanding of child development and its importance in shaping young minds.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a full background check and health screening.
Benefits

Personal Time Off:
One year of service earns eight (8 hour) paid days off
Two to five years of service earns thirteen (8 hour) paid days off
Five+ years of service earns eighteen (8 hour) paid days off

After 60 days of employment, Agape Center for Care will pay half of the premium of an approved market health insurance plan for the staff member only.
