Medical Research Scientist

The University of Florida invites applications for a Medical Scientist to join its Neurology Movement Disorder team. This role is part of a close-knit team focused on innovative research in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for the treatment of neurological diseases.
About This RoleThis position will work closely with faculty and other team members to develop novel therapies for patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders. The successful candidate will perform data analysis, process medical images, and contribute to ongoing cutting-edge research directions.
Responsibilities- Data analysis and troubleshooting
- Processing medical images using open-source programs
- Generation of brain tractography and finite element meshes
- Data management and storage of human subjects' data
- Contribution to ongoing research projects
Bachelor's degree in health sciences, medical engineering, biology or a closely related life science field. Preferred qualifications include experience in medical imaging analysis and knowledge of DICOM standard.
