Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Night Watch Urgent Care. As a key member of our front office staff, you will provide exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Greeting Patients: Greet patients and families warmly as they arrive at the urgent care facility, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
- Patient Registration: Register patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information accurately and efficiently.
- Phone Calls: Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, families, and referring providers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Triage: Triage patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate healthcare provider or department as needed.
- Payment and Insurance: Collect payments, process insurance claims, and explain financial policies and procedures to patients and families.
- Patient Records: Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other front desk staff and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and administrative processes.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, particularly in a front desk or customer service role, is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications such as electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Microsoft Office suite, and scheduling software.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Composure: Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced and stressful situations.
- Customer Service: Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
