Job Title: Food Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Production Supervisor to join our team at E.A. Sween. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily production line activities of our associates, ensuring that we meet our current production goals and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage daily production line activities, ensuring that production goals and expectations are met.
  • Supervise and train associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and quality control.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Maintenance and Quality Assurance, to ensure that production processes are efficient and effective.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including production data and quality control metrics.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing and/or clean room environment.
  • Previous quality control experience a plus.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Experience supervising employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Previous quality management experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be highly motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work well with various levels of employees and diverse cultures.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to keep up with manufacturing speeds and able to work in cool conditions of up to 50 degrees up to 20% of the time.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand or walk the majority of the day; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach overhead with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as well as the ability to bend, twist, turn, push, pull.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
