Regional Account Manager

Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for the West Tennessee and Arkansas market. This role will have two primary responsibilities: building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and driving revenue growth by selling AFS solutions to qualified prospects and current clients. The position will maintain regular communication and contact with clients to provide outstanding in-region client support, while meeting/exceeding sales targets and client retention.
Key Functions:
- Manage a list of current AFS clients for relationship management and prospecting for additional upsell opportunities.
- Prospect and sell multimodal/multiservice opportunities within assigned region, by identifying and acquiring new clients for AFS services.
- Manage the AFS customer experience to ensure client retention, working closely with the Account Management team.
- Conduct structured periodic business reviews demonstrating the benefits that AFS is delivering to the client and exploring additional opportunities for AFS to support the client's transportation needs.
- Understand all of AFS's transportation modes and our value proposition to the client.
Requirements:
- Solid sales, account management, and transportation knowledge.
- Consultative sales training or experience.
- Ability to deliver effective communications and the business experience to obtain client commitment and agreement to proceed.
- A strong network of contacts in the transportation industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-level decision makers.
- A willingness to prospect for new business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a variety of groups.
- Highly motivated and self-driven with a persuasive personality.
- Superior decision making, problem solving, negotiations, verbal, and written skills.
- Proficient at Salesforce, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
