Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic studies using scanners and scintillation cameras, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures. This role requires a minimum of one year of recent experience in nuclear medicine and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and explain procedure to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Review and prepare patient's medical history and administer prescribed doses
- Position patients for examination, monitor their condition, and calibrate equipment
- Maintain equipment, inventory supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in continued education and training programs to maintain technical competency
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of continuous recent experience in nuclear medicine required
- Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program and specialized training in Nuclear Medicine required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of continuous experience as CT Technologist performing positron emission tomography examinations preferred
