Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Bethel Family Clinic is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and treatment plans.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN license in the state of Alaska.
One year of experience in medical surgical nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
Work Environment:
The LPN will work in a hospital setting, with regular exposure to patients who may have contagious illnesses. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The LPN will be required to stand, walk, and lift patients and equipment regularly. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of physical stamina.
Supervisory:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
