Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dishwasher Associate to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Arrive on time, properly groomed and dressed, and ready to work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner, modeling suggestive selling techniques, and answering phones and pages promptly and courteously.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product to meet customer demands.
  • Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, adhering to company cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring equipment is maintained accordingly.
Requirements
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Demonstrate a passion for cleanliness and attention to detail in maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing clear and respectful information to colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, demonstrating effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for natural foods and commitment to upholding the mission of Whole Foods Market.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals and adherence to company policies and procedures.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $16.50-$20.95, commensurate with experience, along with access to our comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and more. New entry-level Team Members who successfully complete their first 90 days of employment may be eligible for a base rate increase after their 90-day anniversary.
