Software Tester Job Description

Pangiam is looking for a skilled Automation Tester to join our team. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for manual testing of software solutions, ensuring that all aspects are functioning correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform automation testing of web-based and mobile applications
  • Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA)
  • Other duties as assigned

Test Planning and Execution:

Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure effective testing.

Software Testing:

Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of requirements and deployment environments.

Product Releases:

Provide support during software installation or configuration.

Requirements:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts from requirements and use cases
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript to read and understand back-end web code
  • Some prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure ability to write test plans and communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders

Education:

A Bachelor's in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional Requirements:

  • Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information
  • Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or approved for a qualifying exemption as a condition of employment
