Railcar Mechanic

Railcar Maintenance Opportunities:
Rescar Companies, a leader in rail maintenance services, is seeking a skilled Railcar Mechanic to join our team at our Woodward, Oklahoma facility. As a key member of our rapidly growing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of railcar equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and repair defective or worn components on railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions
• Inspect bearings, seals, gaskets, wheels, and coupler assemblies to determine if repairs are needed
• Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Clean units and components
• Ensure proper operation

Requirements:

• A good work ethic
• Experience with hand tools
• Previous mechanic experience desired
• Familiarity with welding a plus
• Ability to use a computer, specifically Excel, Word, Adobe, and able to learn systems quickly
• The desire to work hard for potential to grow with a great company
