About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Auditor Intern to join our team at Forvis Mazars. This role is ideal for students pursuing an accounting degree and aiming to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

Job Description

In this position, you will gain hands-on experience in financial statement auditing, working with clients across various industries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audit testing on financial statement accounts, such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
  • Collaborating with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
  • Drafting management letter comments and the audit report.
  • Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

Our ideal candidate possesses solid technical accounting knowledge, effective time management skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. They should also be able to work well within a team and independently, demonstrating a problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, close attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure against deadlines.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must be working toward an accounting degree and have CPA exam eligibility. As this role involves client-facing interactions, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000-$80,000, depending on location and level of experience.
