Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at Renewal By Andersen. This role is responsible for coordinating, developing, and implementing site safety programs to ensure continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and alignment with operations objectives and Enterprise Safety/Health guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and coordinate work activities between Enterprise Safety and business unit leaders to identify safety initiatives and action plans to improve safety performance.
  • Supervise staff in related functional areas, including Environmental, Health Services, or Workers Comp, and ensure site-specific compliance activities are being met in partnership with Enterprise-level functional leadership and support staff.
  • Develop, lead, and manage safety projects based on identified business annual objectives and prioritized safety needs, such as ergonomics, safety management system, and safety coaching program.
  • Conduct safety evaluations, including audits, inspections, accident investigations, and train supervisors and support staff accordingly to support program needs.
  • Work with site leadership and manufacturing engineering to conduct safety assessments of new or modified equipment/processes in accordance with Andersen's Safety Assessment Procedure.
  • Analyze safety performance indicators to identify trends and loss activities and assist in prioritizing appropriate countermeasures.
  • Oversee and/or conduct site-specific safety training programs, including new associate orientations aimed at reducing exposure to workplace hazards and compliance with applicable standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the safety field, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Technical knowledge/experience of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI code regulations and compliance.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of formal leadership experience managing direct reports.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering outstanding results.
  • Experience leading behavior-based safety programs.
  • Ability to develop a strong team through ongoing coaching and development.
  • Strategic planning and aligning organizational goals with safety initiatives.
