MRI Technologist

East Tennessee Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI procedures to diagnose disease processes and delineate normal and abnormal anatomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate MRI scanner and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality images
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skill levels in MRI procedures and safety protocols
Ensure safe operation of equipment and accessories, adhering to proper warm-up and shutdown procedures
Perform correct exams on correct patients, utilizing two patient identifiers and verifying Meditech orders with physician orders
Follow PACS and Meditech workflow, reviewing, approving, and entering information in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Health Science program
Registered by the American Registry of Radiographic Technology (ARRT) with MRI certification preferred
1 year general radiology experience required, with 3-5 years of general radiology experience or equivalent with 2 years MRI experience preferred
Working Conditions:
Frequent sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching
Light lifting, pushing, and pulling required for 10-20 lbs occasionally, with frequent moving of objects less than 10 lbs
Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required
