Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Gateway Pediatric Therapy. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing support to Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in the case management of clinical cases, as well as managing your own day-to-day case management of assigned clinical cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create effective treatment plans for clients based on initial and ongoing evaluations, client needs, and best ethical practices.
  • Maintain clinical requirements for client supervision, adhering to insurance company guidelines, community mental health organization specifications, and Gateway policies and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor technicians on individual patient plan implementation and quality of treatment.
  • Meet with treatment staff as needed to assist in case management and staff continuing training and development.
  • Exercise discretion and independent management of client services and supervision of treatment protocols, aligning with Gateway policies and procedures, and organizational philosophy/mission.
  • Determine appropriate and effective techniques for treatment plan implementation.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments, designing and maintaining top-quality treatment programs that align with Gateway policies/procedures and organizational philosophy/mission.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate and organized records, client notes, data, and reports for internal and external processes.
  • Encourage and engage parents and/or caretakers in parent training for relevant treatment techniques.
  • Prepare and attend client educational meetings, such as IEPs, and develop treatment recommendations.
  • Continuously work towards gaining board certification as a Behavior Analyst, adhering to Michigan Autism BHT/ABA Services Qualified Providers for Qualified Behavioral Health Professionals (QBHP) guidelines.
  • Attend required trainings, conferences, and colloquium to remain in compliance with Gateway policies and procedures.
  • Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Gateway policies and procedures manual.
  • Work cooperatively and courteously with internal staff, outside stakeholders, and other individuals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all client and staff interactions.
