About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Associate to join our team at Forvis Mazars, LLP. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will play a key role in providing tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to pass-through and C-corporation entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, professional services, and technology.
  • Assist in supervising, developing, and coaching professional tax staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and manage client relationships to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Forvis Mazars in the marketplace at networking events and participate in the proposal process for potential new clients.
  • Contribute to Forvis Mazars-sponsored technical guidance for internal and external publications and to internal learning and development sessions.
  • Work with your team to assign projects and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Requirements:

  • Relevant progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and experience in public accounting.
  • A strong sense of ownership for delivering high-quality service to clients and experience servicing multiple client engagements.
  • Excellent supervisory, team-building, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A solution-finding attitude.
  • Willingness to take initiative.
  • Precise attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and against target dates.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CPA license or have secured the educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Law degree, or a related field.
