Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our roofing business, ensuring that we deliver exceptional results to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager: Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to assist the local sales team in achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Oversee Safety and Quality: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that our roofing services meet the highest quality standards.
  • Manage Equipment and Supplies: Oversee the management of equipment and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to deliver our services efficiently.
  • Direct and Coordinate Activities: Direct and coordinate the activities of our roofing teams, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to deliver our services.
  • Review Financial Statements: Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with Regional VP: Collaborate with the Regional VP to develop and implement measures to improve performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage Staff and Budget: Manage staff, prepare work schedules, and assign specific duties. Manage and coordinate department financial and budget activities to maximize investments and increase efficiency.
  • Implement Departmental Policies: Implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, collaborating with Regional VP, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
  • Manage Recruitment and Training: Determine staffing requirements, assist Regional VP with interviewing, hiring new employees, and manage recruitment of sub-contractor and/or employee crews.
  • Plan and Direct Activities: Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, collaborating with other departments and department heads as required.
  • Locate and Procure Materials: Locate and procure materials and equipment as needed, and represent management in purchase negotiations, collaborating with corporate management purchasing agents.
  • Monitor Businesses and Agencies: Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
  • Manage Resolution of Complaints: Manage resolution of complaints, providing negotiation to assist both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain Inventories and Storage Facilities: Maintain, stock, organize local inventories and storage facilities.
  • Collaborate with Non-Service Departments: Collaborate with non-service BRC departments or businesses, such as advertising or purchasing, metal fabrication.
  • Implement Environmental Management Programs: Implement, maintain, and oversee local environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Department Heads: Collaborate with managers and department heads and with regards to internal divisional recognition and/or reward programs.
Physical Demands
  • Requires standing up for long periods of time.
  • Requires use of ladders, scaffolds, and stairways.
  • Requires ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materials.
  • Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
  • Requires seeing details at close range.
  • Requires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling.
  • Requires ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, including exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Includes exposure to contaminants, hazardous material, or equipment.
  • Mistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences, therefore Safety procedures need to be followed.
  • Requires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings.
  • Requires exposure to high places or dangerous conditions.
