Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Student Behavioral Specialist to join our team in Elmont, NY. This full-time position involves supporting students with their behavior intervention plans in a collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and emotional needs, developing and implementing targeted interventions and strategies to support their academic and emotional development.
• Counseling and Consultation: Provide individual and group counseling to address mental health and behavioral issues, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive educational environments and address student needs.

Requirements:

• Education: A Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field is required.
• Certification/Licensure: State certification or licensure as a School Psychologist, including passing a national exam, is mandatory.
• Experience: Completion of a supervised internship or practicum in a school setting is essential.
• Skills: Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and collaboration, as well as a deep understanding of child development and educational practices, are necessary for this role.
