Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all units manufactured at Morgan Truck Body LLC meet the required standards and specifications. This role will involve inspecting and testing units to ensure they meet the sales agreement, Morgan's engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect and test units to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
  2. Conduct in-process quality audits and review standards and specification requirements with production supervisors.
  3. Direct others within the work area to complete rework items.
  4. Perform final inspection function per Morgan and customer specification and standards.
  5. Work with manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery and budgetary goals are met.
  6. Direct and coordinate the quality process, provide continuous quality improvements, and ensure the integrity of Morgan's product quality, manufacturing, certification, and release activities.
  7. Train the workforce on quality standards and specifications.
  8. Adhere to the company safety regulations and assist in the training and awareness of safety guidelines to new employees in the department.
  9. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  10. Perform other duties as required by management.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  2. Previous experience in a quality control/quality assurance position. Prefer 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or a quality assurance environment.
  3. Clear and effective communication skills.
  4. Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and follow established safety and procedures.
  5. Computer experience using Microsoft Office.
