About the Job

We have an opening for a VMS Sr. Principal Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. This role requires experience in designing and developing system architectures, defining key capabilities, and performance requirements.

The VMS Engineer will design flight critical systems for aircraft control, architecture design with optimized redundancy levels, trade studies, specification of hardware elements, technical support to procurement, vehicle management software specification and oversight, fault management design, lab testing of flight hardware & software, on-aircraft testing, support to vehicle flight testing, and anomaly resolution.

Prior airworthiness experience and electronics hardware and software certification are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop VMS specifications, requirements definition, functional modeling, and testing
  • Support subsystems to VMS interfaces, including managing requirements, design, testing, and presenting updates to internal and external customers
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8 years of system architecture definition experience or Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of system architecture definition experience

Experience with at least one technical discipline: subsystem integration and test, data bus architecture definition, system integrity analysis, VMS architecture development

Able to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance within a reasonable period

Estimated salary range: $118,600 - $178,000 based on location and experience.
