Skilled Nursing Supervisor Opportunity in Connecticut

Job SummaryWe are looking for a qualified RN Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience, prior administrative experience, and training in both nursing and administration. As an RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, monitoring patient care, and ensuring that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
Responsibilities:- Monitor patient care and ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
- Provide information to patients and healthcare teams by answering questions and requests.
- Complete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results.
- Perform walking rounds to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possible.
- Assess residents upon admission and periodically as conditions change.
- Obtain and implement Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditions.
- Participate in Facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the clinical competencies and ongoing educational/orientation needs of the staff.
- Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to maintain quality care.
- Must have current CT RN license.
- Experience in Long Term Care is a plus.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
