About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
  • Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly
  • Collaborate with the leadership team and UCIC to identify and resolve unit issues
  • Communicate effectively with intra-op staff and keep them informed of any updates or issues
  • Comply with established departmental and organization policies/guidelines
  • Maintain, operate, and monitor all equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and department standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age of the patients served
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology program
  • Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred
  • Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred, or if employed prior to July 1, 2021, registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine required
