Job Title: Registered Nurse I

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse I to join our team at Northern Light Health.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse I is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse I, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to our patients, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective patient care by using best practices during hand-off communication and when reporting patient care information.
  • Perform and document systematic assessments according to established criteria.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal diagnostic data and report to appropriate providers.
  • Develop and maintain a professional and personable relationship with patients, families, and staff.
  • Utilize theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care.
  • Document accurately and completely, reflecting adherence to hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Complete population-mandatory education competencies as defined by the unit scope of service.
  • Provide culturally competent care to patients and families.
  • Practice is consistent with Northern Light Health policy and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Ability to work alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
  • Ability to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
