We are seeking a Senior Sonographer Team Lead to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health.

Job Description

The Chief Echo Tech will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab and Ambulatory Care Center, including supervising other sonographers, ensuring quality control, maintaining equipment, providing training, and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily echo tech assignments to ensure proper staffing and equipment requirements.
  • Review schedules in advance to ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation.
  • Assist with department scheduling and physician panel management.
  • Maintain lab data and operation efficiency.
  • Modify staffing as needed to meet productivity metrics for the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff and students.
  • Address working out Epic work queue issues, denials, and MUE edits that need clarification.
  • Evaluate continual performance feedback from peers and leadership.
  • Maintain crash cart logs, refrigerator, blanket warmer, and TEE probe cabinets.
  • Audit echocardiography quality regularly and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement echo tech training programs, such as contrast studies, bubble studies, pre- and post-TAVR TTE, TEE, and structural procedures.
Requirements
  • Certification of Cardiac Ultrasound Program
  • ARDMS or CCI Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED
Estimated Salary

$83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
