Rheumatology APP Opportunity in Scenic Ithaca, New York.

We are seeking a highly skilled Rheumatology APP to join our dynamic healthcare team at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, New York. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our Rheumatology department offers a supportive and innovative work environment, excellent patient care, and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have exceptional clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Rheumatology APP, you will work closely with our experienced physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients with various rheumatic diseases.

About the Role:

  • Perform thorough patient history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health problems related to rheumatic diseases
  • Order and interpret laboratory and radiology tests as needed
  • Prescribe medication, including controlled substances under a collaborative practice agreement
  • Document patient assessments, management plans, and education clearly and concisely within the medical record

Key Qualifications:

  • NYS license and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Completion of an accredited NP or PA program
  • BLS certification and ability to maintain CME requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
