Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary:

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. As a Reimbursement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate reimbursement from all government payor sources, preparing required governmental reimbursement reporting, and analyzing data for preparation of monthly third-party A/R payor estimates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Reimbursement in ensuring appropriate reimbursement from all government payor sources.
  • Prepare required governmental reimbursement reporting, including cost reports and HCAP reporting.
  • Analyze data for preparation of monthly third-party A/R payor estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Medicare, Medicaid, and Tri-Care annual cost reports.
  • Accumulate and analyze patient-related information for annual HCAP reporting.
  • Assist in the tracking, billing, and reporting of the Interns and Residents associated with Graduate Medical Education (GME).
  • Prepare month-end estimates related to third-party A/R balances.
  • Analyze the impact of changes to government payor regulations.
  • Provide reimbursement and regulatory updates to the Executive team.
  • Assist in the Budget process and determination of budgeted Net Patient Revenue.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external regulatory agencies, including cost report audit resolution.
  • Assist the Director of Reimbursement in the development of department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Hospital reimbursement and extensive knowledge of Medicare and Ohio Medicaid reimbursement rules and regulations.
