Job Title: Breakfast Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Breakfast Attendant to join our team at Avantic Lodging Enterprises. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards and regulations.
  • Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, including food and beverage requirements, in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed, and prepare the buffet station for food setup.
  • Accommodate special requests made by guests and offer alternatives when necessary.
  • Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system and perform cashiering functions as required.
  • Greet and seat guests at tables in a timely manner, ensuring quality control of menus and cleanliness.
  • Answer the telephone according to standards and have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, side work duties, and other tasks as assigned by management.
Working Conditions:

The Breakfast Attendant will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 20-50 pounds, as well as repetitive motions and visual acuity.

The associate will be subject to inside environmental conditions, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The frequency of these conditions is not anticipated.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, and work well in stressful situations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
