As an Energy Healthcare Engineer, you will be responsible for managing energy programs and initiatives within our medical centers, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and promoting energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement energy conservation measures to reduce energy consumption and costs
  • Collaborate with other energy managers to achieve VISN-wide and VHA energy goals
  • Work closely with the VISN Capital Asset Manager to provide technical support for initiatives and programs
  • Evaluate energy conservation measures and make recommendations for implementation
  • Adhere to and upload data to national VA program office databases

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture
  • Experience in energy management, sustainability, and climate change adaptation
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and other engineering/architectural principles
  • Ability to use energy and project management software
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
