About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work as a Psychiatric Nurse Coordinator at Ellenhorn. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our NY based PACT Clinician/Mental Health Clinician team. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychiatric nursing and be able to provide direct clinical services to clients on an individual basis. You will be responsible for coordinating medication/health needs, providing ongoing assessment of physical health symptoms, and making appropriate changes to the treatment plan.

  • Focusing on issues related to psychiatric medications and physical health, you will provide direct clinical services to clients in the office, in their homes, and in community settings.
  • You will provide management and administration of medication, including pharmacy coordination and insurance navigation, independently problem solve when issues arise.
  • Additionally, you will provide medication/health education to clients and families, conduct holistic and comprehensive medical assessments, educate and support clients' families, and advocate for clients' rights and preferences.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask. You will also have the skills and competencies to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as family and other members of the clients' network.

Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse with New York License is required.
  • Minimum one year of psychiatric nursing experience is necessary.
  • You must have excellent organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
Benefits

Ellenhor offers competitive salaries with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
