About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Medical Office LPN in our Bryan Physician Network Float Pool. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless interactions between patients, physicians, and staff.

Job Summary:

This position requires a skilled and organized individual who can commit to providing professional nursing care as prescribed by physicians and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Flow Management: Maintain efficient patient flow, ensuring timely appointments and minimizing delays for providers and patients alike.
  • Exam Room Preparation: Ensure exam rooms are clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients.
  • Clinical Support: Assist medical providers with examinations and procedures, obtain vital signs, reason for visit, allergies, and medications from patients, and prepare them for visits.
  • Scheduling and Communication: Schedule outpatient follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments, collect subjective and objective data, and contribute to patient assessments. Document patient information accurately and respond to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical offices in a timely manner.
  • Education and Quality Assurance: Provide adequate patient education, monitor inventory of supplies, and communicate information to the Office Manager. Administer injections, vital signs, vision, and auditory testing as delegated.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Nebraska required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
