Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to join our Space and Mission Systems (SMS) business area. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex development programs, leading proposal opportunities, and ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage scope, cost, and schedule performance on complex development programs
  • Adopt continuous process improvement
  • Lead proposal opportunities
  • Lead emerging special programs
  • Develop customer relationships
  • Guide engineering teams through complex developments
  • Ensure customer requirements are satisfied and perform within cost and schedule constraints
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Program Management or Program Direction
  • Proven experience with program planning, monitoring and control, financial accounting, contracts, risk management, and earned value
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Experience with leading and writing proposals, including proposal preparation, estimating, review of the technical response to bids, presentation materials, and reports
  • Experience leading programs in the development of space systems, spacecraft, components, and/or complex electromechanical systems, including RF and Optical Communications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • US Government position. US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible
  • Up to 25% domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with SSBI clearance
  • Experience with government programs and products including government contract requirements, flow downs, and FARS/DFARS
  • Experience with program management of payload and/or electronics development for space applications
  • Experience leading one or more Space Vehicle missions
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Ability to perform first-order systems level analysis
Compensation

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
