Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure Vector.dev to streamline data collection, transformation, and routing across various sources and destinations.
  • Optimize Vector.dev performance by fine-tuning configurations, managing resource allocation, and ensuring efficient data processing.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate Vector.dev with other tools and platforms in our observability stack.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to Vector.dev, including data pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and configuration challenges.
  • Develop and promote best practices for using Vector.dev, including data schema design, transformation rules, and system monitoring.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on Vector.dev features, usage, and best practices to ensure effective adoption and utilization.
  • Manage Vector.dev upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to data workflows.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with Vector.dev in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Vector.dev components, data pipelines, and observability concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and data analytics teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant certifications in observability, data engineering, or cloud platforms are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based deployments and scaling solutions.
  • Knowledge of other data collection and observability tools and frameworks.
