Support Staff/Special Education ParaPro Position

The Emmett Independent School District 221 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Staff/Special Education ParaPro to join our team as an SLP Instructional Aide. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the Speech Language Pathologist in achieving the goals and objectives stated on each child's current Individual Education Plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Becomes familiar with basic special education knowledge as covered in the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act 1997, with emphasis on due process procedures and confidentiality of information and records.
- Assists the Speech Language Pathologist in implementing specific Behavior Plans for specified students.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment and therapy sessions through the performance of duties such as making attractive bulletin boards, developing interesting instructional materials, using equipment and materials appropriately, keeping the room and work areas clean and orderly, etc.
Requirements:- BS Degree In Communication Sciences/Disorders Preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, organization skills, experience with direct instruction, and the ability to work with elementary-age children.
