IT Specialist

This is a challenging opportunity to join the U.S. Marine Corps team as an IT Specialist. As a key member of our Information Systems team, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining reliable and secure information systems services to our personnel.

• Install and configure operating systems and software applications on end-user devices.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain customer hardware and resolve software problems in response to customer-reported incidents.
• Evaluate and research customer support issues to identify trends and patterns.
• Create and manage Service Desk Tickets and data to support enterprise-wide IT Service Management initiatives.
• Establish and monitor telecommunications requirements.
• Assist staff in identifying and purchasing new equipment and services to meet operational needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have one year of information technology-related experience demonstrating the following four competencies:

• Attention to Detail: Verifying hardware and software compliance with DOD policy and directives.
• Customer Service: Maintaining customer hardware and resolving software problems.
• Oral Communication: Working with personnel to plan, coordinate, and resolve issues.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware/software interoperability problems.

In addition to your experience, you may also qualify based on education or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
