About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Air Quality Engineer to join our team. This position requires a strong background in environmental engineering, policy analysis, or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience working in the development of federal or state air quality regulations. You will be responsible for preparing air emissions inventories, analyzing data, evaluating pollution control options, estimating costs, writing technical reports, and providing technical support for air quality grant programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of federal air quality regulations and the implementation of the GHGRP.
  • Develop emissions inventories for criteria pollutants, HAP, and GHG.
  • Evaluate emissions and operational data from industrial sources to support development of NSPS standards, NESHAP standards, and work practice standards.
  • Assess performance and costs of air pollution control equipment and emissions monitoring methods.

Salary Range

$81,000 - $99,000 per year.
