We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for a 13-week acute care assignment in Santa Maria, California.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an acute setting. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote patient independence and well-being.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between settings
- Provide hands-on therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and educational programs, to promote patient progress and engagement
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding and adherence to treatment plans
