Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate EMT-Paramedic to join our team at Regional One Health. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in emergency and critical care areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely intervention to meet the medical needs of patients in emergency and critical care areas.
  • Prepare patients for examination, ensure equipment is available, and observe restraints and forensic policies.
  • Schedule diagnostic laboratory and radiological tests as ordered, transport patients safely, and maintain inventory of patient belongings.
  • Contribute to patient care by performing assigned tasks, taking and recording vital signs, and preparing and forwarding specimens.
  • Deliver activities of daily living, maintain records of fluid intake and output, and provide measures of comfort and convenience.
  • Observe and report patient responses to interventions, complete documentation requirements, and provide close observation and monitoring to ensure patient safety.
  • Communicate unit activities, needs, and problems to appropriate staff, follow up with patients as required, and demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care.
  • Collaborate with forensic team and law enforcement officials to maintain a safe and secure environment, and perform clerical duties such as answering telephone and responding to call signals.
  • Prepare and maintain required records, reports, and files for administrative and compliance purposes, and maintain patient medical records and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of an approved Paramedic program required.
  • LP - Licensed Paramedic approved by the State of Tennessee upon hire required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.
  • ACLS within 1 year required.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Paramedic required.
  • Must successfully complete unit specific competencies required.
