Position Overview

The role of an Obstetrics nurse, commonly known as an OB nurse, involves providing essential support to physicians in the management of expectant mothers and the childbirth process. These professionals typically operate within the labor and delivery units of healthcare facilities, including hospitals and clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and standards.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate the healthcare needs of patients.
• Assist medical practitioners during examinations and medical procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications, perform dressing changes, cleanse wounds, and monitor patients' vital signs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery is essential.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• NRP certification is mandatory.
• Recent experience in fetal monitoring is necessary.
• A valid state nursing license is required.
