Commercial Lines Account Manager

Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team in Ocala, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing new and existing accounts, providing support to our team in maintaining and expanding assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter all required data into our agency management system to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts.
  • Maintain client files per agency guidelines as established by our carriers.
  • Prepare exposure checklists on renewal accounts indicating coverage in force and known exposures.
  • Prepare renewal submissions, including all attachments and supplements, and work closely with our Marketing Department during the renewal process.
  • Write additional lines of coverage as needed.
  • Prepare, review, and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations.
  • Validate coverages and premiums charged on policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
  • Prepare policies for delivery to insured and deliver as required.
  • Maintain a follow-up system for correspondence and requests.
  • Prepare premium billings and invoices on a timely basis and reconcile agency bill items for insured as necessary to collect premium.
  • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with underwriters, clients, and producers.
  • Maintain knowledge of various carriers' rating plans and programs.
  • Review WIC experience modification factors.
  • Review property and casualty losses with producers and clients as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating.
  • Receive claim information and forward to the appropriate carrier.
  • Enter all required data into the agency management system to maintain current claims file data and set follow-up dates.
  • Maintain an active suspense file on all claims until closed.
  • Maintain the required license and continuing education as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-20 Property and Casualty license (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel); proficient typing skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and communities.
  • 3-5 years customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years insurance experience.
  • Working knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight.
