Job Summary:

Tecovas is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Apparel Product Development to lead our product creation process from concept to final prototyping and sample approval. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will be responsible for driving product creation and confirmation, ensuring timely and successful completion of fully developed products that meet margin requirements and are approved for fit and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and oversee the entire Product Creation process from concept to final prototyping and sample approval.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and collaborate on future brand direction.
  • Participate in selecting new manufacturing facilities for production.
  • Streamline the Product Development process for greater accountability and efficiency.
  • Lead and provide problem-solving support during the product development cycle, including material, cost, and construction concerns.
  • Ensure timely approval of production samples and manage sample requests to meet seasonal deadlines.
  • Develop and implement seasonal calendars to align with brand and company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in production quality by monitoring defective returns and suggesting alternatives.
  • Coach and mentor the Product Development team, setting clear goals and providing feedback.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and accountability within the team.
  • Travel to factories overseas to foster relationships and ensure timely decision making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of related Product Development experience
  • Proven track record of leading and inspiring product creation teams to drive for excellence through coaching and mentoring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites
