Job Overview

Whitman-Walker Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our primary care team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical care to adult and adolescent patients with chronic and acute health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform medical evaluations and treatment for patients with various health conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide culturally sensitive medical services to a diverse patient population.
  • Stay up-to-date with primary care guidelines and standards of care.

Requirements:

  • License to practice medicine in Washington, DC.
  • DC DEA Certification.
  • DC Controlled Substance License.
  • Spanish language or Amharic language fluency preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position requires a normal office environment with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
