Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pretrial Services Technician to join our team at the California Northern Pretrial Services. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pretrial services program.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of federal defendants to provide timely and objective background information to judicial officers.
  • Develop and implement effective supervision plans to ensure community safety and compliance with court-ordered conditions.
  • Collaborate with judges, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and treatment providers to deliver services that benefit defendants, the court, and the community.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations, supervision, and case-related activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to defendants, attorneys, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using Windows-based personal computers and standard software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
