Job Summary

The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff at Columbia Memorial Hospital. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, restrooms, and other areas, as well as maintaining housekeeping equipment and reporting maintenance concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including aligning with OSHA, state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms, including vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making, and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste.
  • Clean restrooms following proper infection control procedures.
  • Accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
  • Clean assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements.
  • Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas.
  • Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co-workers.
  • Secure the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required.
  • Ensure security of company assets.
Requirements
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
Physical Demands

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
