The Loans and Dreams Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting Loan Officers while developing skills and knowledge to become a Loan Officer in the future. This position involves completing various online and classroom educational sessions, receiving operational and hands-on training by assisting the Loan Officer and Division Managers.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

As a Loans and Dreams Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Learning Development: Participate in formal training programs provided by the company. These programs cover various aspects of lending, including understanding different types of loans, assessing creditworthiness, and navigating the loan approval process. Train with managers on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans. Review daily/weekly/monthly reports to learn the overall mortgage process from application to closing.
  • Continuous Education and Licensure: Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and appropriate state licensing as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
  • Support and Coordination: Update the loan application with any missing data. Maintain notes within the Loan Origination System to ensure complete exchange of information. Occasionally provide initial setup of the file.
  • Business Development and Customer Relations: Participate in builder and realtor functions to develop and maintain relationships. Work with Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure that borrowers can easily reach out through various channels (phone, email, chat) and receive prompt responses. Act as a primary contact between our borrowers and their Loan Officers, schedule and conduct meetings as needed, to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed.
  • Collaboration and Flexibility: Assist processors and closers in procuring loan documents from borrowers and other entities as needed. Engage and assist internal associates through various channels (phone, email, chat) and receive a prompt response. Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Your Toolbox
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree: BA or BS preferred
  • Experience: Mortgage or banking experience (preferred)
  • Communication Skills: Experience in articulating product or service features, benefits, and value
  • PASSION: A genuine passion for going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Valid Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Requirements and Physical Presence

Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
