Nurse Lead for Pre-Procedure Services

The Role: As a Charge Nurse in Pre-Procedure Services, you will be responsible for providing top-of-scope practice in direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize wellness, promote evidence-based practice, and model proficiency through precepting new staff members. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve exceptional outcomes and contribute to securing safety and quality at the point of care.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program, if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred qualifications include state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), 1 year of nursing experience, and BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Per UEXCEL Bylaws, you must promote to Charge Nurse III within 3 years of promotion to Charge Nurse.
The Environment: Our perioperative department is fast-paced and innovative, with AORN and ABPANC core curriculum and certifications standards included in evidence-based care models. Clinical Educators support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
Compensation and Benefits: The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. We also offer a loan repayment program and are a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
