Nurse Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Adventist HealthCare seeks a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Observation Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support while upholding our organization's mission to extend God's care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care, educating patients and families throughout the care continuum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance knowledge and skills, adhering to ANA standards and Adventist HealthCare values.
- Model professionalism, using electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, identifying impending changes in patient condition and initiating corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from a patient and family perspective.
- Participate in evidence-based practice, identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Passing score on NCLEX.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
- 2 years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Current Maryland State nursing license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with 36 hours per week, including three 12-hour shifts. Every third weekend and holiday rotations.
