Job Summary

As a key member of our Distribution & Transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of products throughout our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including selecting and palletizing grocery orders for shipment to retail stores. You will also be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisor or designee
Complete all documents related to shipping and receiving tasks
Select and palletize grocery orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner
Perform pre-operational checks of equipment according to company policy
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable
Ability to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposes
Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
High school education or equivalent
Familiarity with distribution environment

Preferred Requirements

Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs. repetitively
Ability to meet production standards set by the company
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
